Understand Me

Looking at my reflection, I feel myself cringe

I haven't a clue who I've truely become, really

I try to hold myself together, keep the spark lit

But I can't help when it comes to how I'm feeling.

Such a dull shade of blue I can see,

You're losing your only beauty.

Understand me when I say this, please

I do everything for a simple and clear reason...

I stand firmly, I've learned so damned much

I can put on the mask for you, and not give a fuck.

I fall down simply, I've been through the worse of it all,

And I try to climb higher and higher, but I always fall.

Understand me, I'm not really worth it.

I know, I'm more fucked up from a distance.

This poem daunts insecurity from a beautiful person. I love the wording, the eloquence of what you have to say, truly beautiful. But you are worth it. In every way.
