Filthy Rags

Miserable

pile

of secrets

Wretched

creature

Come and

face the sun

There is no where

else to run

How does a man

cope with the knowledge?

Of a world that is

abomination?

The eyes are tortured

The subconscious mind is

tormented

With the truth

Suffocated by the truth

But the heart desires it

To be free of the darkness

To escape this Inferno

Deliver me from Evil

Oh Father

This truth makes me strong

To know that You are there

Always

Watching and waiting for us

to return to you

To persist until the end

To know the evils of this world

We see, because you allow us

Because we believe in your plan

We are attacked and tempted

Just as your son was in the desert

The devil is relentless

But so are we in our faith to you

We hate evil things and hate liars

You are our Shield

From the arrows of poison

Snakes bites you heal

Nothing can stop you

You deliver us away from this desert

to the waters of life

To the oceans of heaven everlasting

Author's Notes/Comments:

Isaiah 64:6 King James Version (KJV)

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Luke 13:3-5 King James Version (KJV)

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish
