You've broken my spirit and hurt my pride

You've destroyed my inner being and bruised me inside





You've opened up a box which you cannot close

You've induced a rage which now only grows





You've created a monster which you cannot control

You've tampered with something you can no longer hold





You've played with fire and have scorched your hands

You've escaped the water, but drowned in the sands





You've entered a hole which you're now buried in

You've brought this upon yourself and it only begins





You've forced pain and anguish to swallow you whole

You've embelished the truth and took what you stole





You've been given a chance to turn all of this around

You've been given a chance to astonish and astound





You've been given all this and still in the end

You've made the same mistakes and started over again
