Say It Another Time

I heard you sing a lullaby

When you made the night fall asleep

Even though I can't find the place where you lie

I know a place in which I've fallen deep

Maybe just whispers of hope

Or your voice against the time ticking away

Is the reason for me to cope

There is something I want to say

But I fall short of words

Like the last second of a flickering flame

I almost want to shout to the worlds

And yet want to say the words that only your ears can claim

But you're just a shout into the void

There, but not really, and hesitant feelings fill

A fugacious thought, and I try to avoid

The sight of your eyes, before I let everything spill

I hear you sing a lullaby

And with your thoughts I fall asleep

I don't know if I'm dreaming, but I feel your hand wrapped around mine

And there are somethings about you, that I'll forever keep
