'war'

Folder:
pain

There goes a brave man on his way to war,

standing un-frightened of the things to come,

he turns to his family waves goodbye,

And walks away into the distance,

He comes to a dirty trench,

put's his possesions down,

looking at a family photo,

only with one thought,

getting out of there alive,

knowing if he died,

his family may not servive,

Back at his home,

there's his family,

waiting for him to return,

But that's not going to happen.

I really liked this poem. Actually I don't believe I've read a poem of yours I didn't like. You seem to be a very accomplished writer. If you don't mind I would appreciate it if you would read a few of my works, tell me what you think about them, and give me some pointers.

Hi, I don't know if you still

Hi, I don't know if you still use this site or are like me and have forgotten about it for 6 years, but I just wanted to say thank you for reading and liking my poems. I never got around to reading yours as never saw your messages, but I am going to read some of them now. Hope all is well with you :) Take care, Emma.

Woah, I just watched Band Of Brothers recently and I couldn't help but picture it and every war movie I've seen. Great poem!
