Hidden Love

Whenever I see you,

My eyes begin to startle;

And when you stand beside me,

My hands start to rattle.

You may never notice,

How something secretly unfolds;

A feeling that speaks in silence,

Hidden where it cannot be told.

It dwells behind a brave mask,

Fixed, still, boldly concealed;

Your face I dare remember,

Your name I hate to forget.

And though it stays unspoken,

Trapped deep within my veins;

Perhaps, one day, you’ll unravel

A feeling you were never meant to see.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was inspired by a classmate whose "good heart" encouraged me to grow and do better. Over time, admiration quietly turned into love, drawn to the kindness they carry within.
