Cry

As I was gazing at the sullen night,

Happiness had faded from my sight.

Deep emotions, as cold as ice,

Tears slowly flowed from my eyes.

The stars and the moon stared down at me,

As if sharing some light of sympathy;

Watching each crystal drop as I cry,

Silhouetted against the midnight sky.

Deep in the midst of darkness, I hide,

While the fog of comfort and pain collide.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this from a place of quiet sadness, where the night felt like the only thing that understood me.
