SOLILOQUY

Surviving with a heart,
Broken and bleeding,
The stillness of nights,
Quietly howling;
Undaunted, I find myself,
Desperately longing,
For my soul mate -- hiding,
in the veil of eternity.
Creepy, selfish men and women,
Have done their very best,
To consume me in their envy;
Poisonous smiles dipped in the honey,
Of seething jealousy:
I have managed to ward their barbs,
With a slowly and patiently made,
Armour of unshakable faith,
In The God Almighty.
O my rent soul,
Grieving for the companion,
Now heavenly,
Tarry a while and depress not yourself,
In the worldly taunts of greedy allure,
Floating ghost-like as soon as dusk falls.

Why worry?
Why yearn for the impossible?
It is eerie to sit alone,
And crave true love:
Why not let the mind go free,
High and above,
Beyond the realms of the vastness,
And align with infinity?
The mocking devils of darkness,
May be enjoying this state of mine,
Just like the hollow-hearted men and women,
Do so sadistically,
As the days pass,
And the afternoons and evenings,
Echo like the laughter of banshees,
In the surrounding blackness of the hours.

Leap not into the incongruity O my mind!
For yearning and craving are of no use,
When it is so staunchly believed,
That there is reunion of soul mates,
Once the term of bodily existence ends.

Concentrate O my wounded self!
Converge your thoughts,
With the sublime Light of Divinity.
Peace and solace only embrace,
And annoint you with comforting,
Ethereal inner joy and happiness,
When each breath of yours,
Tunes itself to the golden silence --
The language of Love Immemorial --
Blending the drop that you are,
With the origin of the depthless ocean,
Each wave a lap of lullabies,
Sung by the angels of the Creator,

Hearken O Naveed!
And let your entire self dissolve
And let the shackles of worldly being,
Be crushed and give you a new life,
Wholesome and meaningful,
In the domain where only the believers,
In true love and selflessness dwell.
Happiness is not elusive O you poet!
The jewels of the sky relate the truth,
So, let go of all materialistic vanities,
And inhale the vigorous fragrance of Eden,
And take a hint from the approaching blue of dawn:
Peace and a return to the dimension,
Of souls that are ridiculed by the world,
Await only a shift in the pattern of thinking,
And a return to the path which leads,
Directly to the Source -- The God Almighty.
For, it is so true that from Him we come,
And to Him do we return.

So, abandon the deceptions of this life,
And close your eyes with a focus,
That The God Almighty is with you,
And in the Light of His Immortality,
Take a gentle leap back to your soul mate,
Waiting for you...in the Garden of real joy,
The Garden where she will be with you,
Forever and ever...
This is God's promise,
Foretold by His messengers,
Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jacob,
Jesus the Messiah,
Blessed on the Virgin Mary.
And then explained in detail,
In the life of Christ's successor:
The Seal of the Prophets:
Muhammad of Arabia.

Wisdom shines as the purifying,
Blue shades of approaching dawn,
Also talk of the Paradise,
Where believers of the Truth,
Will revel in the spiritual sweetness,
Of unending life and true love.
Yield not to sorrow, pine not for anything,
And sip a cup from God's blessed angels,
Celebrating His praises,
And know that your true love awaits you,
With a greater longing than yours.
Yes! Your soul mate misses you more,
Than you miss her here.
Hearken O Naveed!
And focus on Truth-Beauty, Beauty-Truth.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I have seen so much of this world and the people that I have decided to give priority to the spiritual essence of the self and the wisdom of truth and beauty reflecting itself so subtly in the wee hours of nights merging with dawns. This poem, which is a soliloquy, is a result of sombre meditation and contemplation.
