IF ONLY YOU HAD KNOWN!

Morning comes and the day goes by,
Evening and night too pass me by.

I look 'fine' -- for the rest of the world --
But you are well aware -- what I imply.

Without you near me, all on my own,
My fate, at me, does often frown.

You are glad to be the way you are,
As you know that you are my star:

I look at the horizon and it makes me laugh,
At myself, as some felines hiss and cough,

I have no qualms about the way I live,
But. at least, you can, your reply give.

I shrug off what others think of me,
Sans you, nothing is, as it should be.

My weary eyes reflect love's dearth,
Hoping to be filled up by your mirth,

Your tinkling voice, incessant laughter,
Could have cajoled me to feel better.

If only you knew, how much you are missed,
My loneliness, you would have vanquished!

Take a bow

Dear Naveed, beautifully written, what flow, I wish I could write half as good. The Romantic lives strong.
