A REAL WORLD CHAMPION

Why?
Why should I allow life
To knock me out?
I am like Muhammad Ali:
The real world boxing champion,
For a thousand years to come.
Let life be like Sonny Liston*,
Like Smokin' Joe Frazier*
Like hammering Henry Cooper*
Or Big George Foreman*;
I am not gonna give up
Even an inch,
For, mine is the victory,
Of every outcome...
Life may throw its best shots,
In its effort to vanquish me,
But I will remain undaunted,
And defeat its illusion,
I know I am like Ali,
And God is with me, always,
To help me and strengthen,
And enable me to use my
Skills and class
And professionalism
To prevail against all odds,
And still be the winner,
And undefeated champion.
My 'Rope-a-Dope' deceives.
All those who wanna see me,
Knocked down and beaten.
Yet, deep inside I am as fresh,
As I was when I,
Was ready in life's "Round One".
And very soon my flurries,
My left jabs and right crosses,
And my dancing and speed,
Of fists will cause worries,
To all my challengers,
And then I will, God willing,
Show them yet again,
That I am like Ali,
A real world champion.
And I am also as strong,
As the Biblical Samson,
But not so vulnerable,
As to succumb to Delilahs.
Because of the reason,
That I never forget God,
And He doesn't forsake me,
At any moment or its fraction,
And is always with me,
In me and around me,
As my ever-loving Guardian.
Like I have said above,
I am destined to be great,
With the will of Allah,
In every sense of the word,
A real world champion.

The names starred are names of the fiercest opponents that the heavyweight boxing champion of the world and the "People's Champ" Muhammad Ali fought during his 13-year professional boxing career.
Inspired by the book "Float Like A Butterfly, Sting Like A Bee -- Muhammad Ali" by another boxing legend and a friend of Muhammad Ali, late Jose Torres.
