WHILE THINKING OF MY BELOVED...

Vampires suck blood,
For they must do so
To live, to survive...

Animals hunt and kill,
To sustain themselves...
Even a whale,
Sent Prophet Jonah*
Back to his world...

It is but man,
Who kills everything,
Just to satisfy,
His insatiable ego.

Some men and women
Are worse than buzzards
For they love to kill
And kill and kill...
Without compunction,
They love to play,
With 'blood and sand'
In Spanish arenas
Or jungles long ago...

Ah! My beloved,
I wish we were together,
On the "3:10 to Yuma",
Thinking of nothing
We -- birds of a feather:
Or on a raft hither-thither,
Testing our love,
And our courage,
Defying everything,
On the "River of No Return.

"I need your love
"I need your love".
Like Frankie Laine sings
In "OK Corral".

Yes, my beloved,
I need your love,
To the very end,
Until I break every barrier
And swim across seas
Scale every mountain
With my heart as the carrier
Of my undying love,
And longing to be with you,
From now to the end...

Yes, one day I shall be,
Very close to you,
Giving no one a clue,
About me or you...
I shall not let you,
Wait forever,
In the island of Defoe*
Or Robinson Crusoe.

Author's Notes/Comments:

PROPHET JONAH (Peace be upon him): Mentioned in the Bible and Al Quran. OK Corral is famous after the famous gunfight between Wyatt Earp and the gangsters who killed his brother. Frankie Laine sang the theme song for the movie "Gunfight At the OK Corral" in the 1950s. "The River of No Return is reputedly known as the Colorado River according to Red Indian folklore. There is a movie by the same name starring Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum and has a song titled "On the River of No Return". Defoe is the second name of author Daniel Defoe who is famous for his novel Robinson Crusoe.
As for my special beloved woman it is best at the moment that she remains un-named. After all, what's in a name? A rose called by any name smells just as sweet. I do not say this. It was the Bard William Shakespear.
