POISED SADNESS

Why do wrong
When it is not right
It only results in shame.
Trees rustle
As clouds and moon
Keep up their hide and seek tricks.
O my heart
Why do I do that
Which is so unexpected?
O Allah
Help me from falling
And make my path easier.
O my friends
Come to me and share
All that I am coping with.
O beloved
When are we to meet
Let us implore God more now.
For how long
And how many hurdles
Am I to overcome still?
Why the calm
Quietens not the noise
And rumbles of my sad soul?
My beloved
May we meet sooner
So that matters are set right...
