GOD AND US... AND THIS WORLD

Man and time
Are not bound
Man is free and his mind too
Is infinite in its capacity
Time is man's conception
Meant to give meaning
To his term on this planet
What happens afterwards
Is the unending reality
Which man should try to understand
Fathom and prepare for...
The canopy above me along with its stars
Tells me about many pasts and presents
And many a future too
But to this day I have found nobody
With whom I can share
The secrets revealed to me
In the solitude I spend
In the company of sombre silence
Along with God's encompassing space
And His angels and holy ones
My heart beats and tugs quietly
Seeking the other half of my soul
But I have to wait thus
Till the moment destined for us
To meet and live together
With the will and blessings of God
With whom I spend my solitary hours
Without disturbing the sleeping world
In the small watches of shadowy nights..

Author's Notes/Comments:

It is generally accepted that Prophet Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) was born in the early hours of December 25, more than 2,000 years ago. I was inspired to write this while marvelling on how man and God Almighty are linked together by infinity and yet why most of us love to be bound to this earthly life and its limited and measured "days and nights" along with the "enjoyments" that come enwrapped as a deceptive package of pleasures meant to keep our spiritual self distant from God's Own...

GOD AND US AND THIS WORLD

Hello Dear Friend,
This is one of t he most beautiful writings I have read. Several times going
over it,  to get the true meaning. I agree with so many thoughts of yours.
Something deep inside  tells me this is not the end, just the beginning of my
existence.
I believe I have been before, and I will be again.
It is agreed by most, Dec. 25 is the birthday of Jesus Christ, but my Bible says,
The shepards were attending their flocks that night when the star appeared.
I believe it was in the Spring time.
In the vein of religion I say, Come let us reason together. The important is, we
believe in a higher power.
Great work and thoughts. heather
