How can I not love you?

You rescued me from falling a prey to sorrow

And gave me a whole new reason to live

And with your love

You made a new man out of me.

How can I not love you?

You fill my lonely moments with happiness

And joy

Which, I thought, existed only in tales

And story books.

How can I not love you?

You light up my whole being

Like nobody else has been able to

For more than two decades

And only you have been blessed with the power

To do it.

How can I not love you?

You adore me unconditionally

Expecting nothing in return

But love from me.

You love those too who are mine

And prove how much you love us all

With your kind and thoughtful deeds.

How can I not love you?

You never give me cause to worry

About anything

And always keep me focused

On the positve side of life and living.

How can I not love you?

Is it possible

Not to love a lovely woman like you?

No, love begets love

And you are a living testimony of this truth.

So I feel proud and uplifted

Because I love you and you love me too

Like nobody else has

In more than twenty long years.

You are simply too sweet

My dear, beloved, rare woman

Let me not feel shy

In proclaiming to the whole world

That our love for each other

Is just of the same buoyant intensity

Which fills the books of passion

And decorates the pages of chronicles.
