WAS IT A DREAM?

She rises and she calls me,

Her pure eyes are sparkling,

She says she's found love,

And I listen intently.

Her voice is a whisper,

That only I hear,

Cadences all hushed up,

Not even the wind stirs.

Blue and gray combine,

High above the stars shine,

Her secret she discloses,

Softly, in one line.

Then she hides her face,

With the help of a pillow,

I haven't ever seen,

Such feminine grace.

Was it a dream I was in,

I can't say exactly,

But it didn't matter,

It was eternity.
