WHY KEEP TWO HEARTS APART?

Spring greets the warm summer

Hot days though nights are still cool

But dawns come without dreams.

I loved, had faith in it,

As a youth and then a man,

My beloved was fairest,

God took her far away.

Then a smart poetess came,

Into my lonely life,

Full of vivacity she,

Gave so much love to me.

Yet I sit and watch high,

The late night moon in the sky,

Trying to seek God's reason,

WHY KEEP TWO HEARTS APART?

Soon summer will blaze with heat,

Its fury and fiery complete,

Lovers like me will long for spring,

After winter stops snowing.

Author's Notes/Comments:

A love poem inspired by the slowly embracing spring and summer afternoon and the fastly passing nights where the sleeps are without dreams. I have been loved twice but the hearts I loved were never joined to my own by The God Almighty (Allah).
