The World is a Backwards Backworld
It’s like all the politicians
Decided to forget what they came to do
Saw the flashy lights and the pools of money
Walked towards it and away from their old beliefs
They climb up to end hunger
Destroy poverty
Make the world greener
Make the world peaceful
But they see everything else that they can play with
New toys at their disposal
We have spent billions of dollars on military
When we are going to struggle to stay afloat in a carbon cloud before having to worry about war
They become rich and they use their richness
They climb to the highest diving board into the deepest pool
They end up with more money than anyone
While others with values are left in the dirt for not selling out
*It is the same with education
The smart people excel and get put into special classes so that they can learn more
Go on to special colleges and universities where they have the opportunity to learn more
After that it’s up to them because they started out smart
But the people who might have not done so well in the past
Become further and further behind
They get put into classes that learn less and have no option of post-secondary
They cannot take what smart people waste away forgrantedly
They get to whatever they can with a high school diploma
Or even less because school has been stupid and implied that they are too
While smart people can go to post-secondary with scholarships
And waste it away if they want
*People who were once criminals
May try and turn their lives around
After one false move
But can’t because they’re judged
They stole a garden gnome on Halloween
Maybe right after they turned eighteen
They got charged and went to jail
And after that all anyone sees is the criminal record and the kid who was just eighteen
In the end we live in a world
Where you have to start off right in an impossible way
Because the rich get richer while the bad-off become poor
And the smart become smarter while the slow become dumb
Great write
And don't worry about offending anyone
Its poetry in a way and if you did offend anyone, its just all the more attention this peice gets :P
But I don't think you will because even the rich and/or smart probably agree with this
I agree with this completely, especially the 2 lines that read "but they see everything else that they can play with - new toys at their disposal"

I kinda doubt I'll offend anyone but I didn't want to have to go through comments that were all like "I'm smart but I have to try to get where I am and where I'm going" and "There are too manny people who think that rich people are all snobs" and stuff like that. It IS a good ponit that you make about the attention from anger/annoyance though :P
This life is the "once upon a time" kind of fairy tale that will sold to the masses 2000 years after it ends
