When You Say Good-Bye

Folder:
Angsty Teen Years

You promised me you'd never leave,

And that you'd never say good-bye,

Now I watch as you walk away,

And leave me here to cry.

You said you'd always love me,

And that you'd always stick around,

You promised you wouldn't hurt me,

But now I'm down on the ground.

You look back as I'm pleading,

Kneeled upon the floor

Begging you to stay,

Saying please just for a while more.

You promise you'll be back,

And that you won't cheat,

You say that all that's over,

And all you want is to be with me.

Now I wonder what you're doing,

Or if you'll ever call,

And if you even love(d) me,

Just a little or at all.
