You're Gone

Folder:
Poetry

I woke up this morning,

Close to being in tears,

Realizing it had happened,

What I had been dreading for almost a year,

You're gone.

You've left me a mess,

Confused and alone,

Feeling inside me something,

That I've never known,

You're gone.

Leaving me with unanswered questions,

So many how's and why's,

There's nothing left to do now,

But sit by myself and cry,

You're gone.

Finally letting out the feelings,

I'd been holding inside,

The anger, fear, and frustration,

No need anymore for it to hide,

You're gone.

-this is what you get when you write a poem in your head in the early morning and then try to remember it later-
