Every once in a while

Someone comes into your life

Who just seems to make everything right

I met such a woman a few months ago

And had hoped that with her

I would grow old

But unfortunately, it was not meant to be

And in not such a nice way

We parted company

Let me just say that it

Was all my fault

And if I could take it all back

I absolutely would

The last thing in the world

That I'd wish to do

Is anything and I mean ANYTHING

That would hurt you

If I thought it would help

I'd beg on my knees

But as long as you're happy
