If we were all deaf would you hear it?

If we were all blind could you see it?



Different faces, different names,

Different expressions from pleasures to pain.



Different languages with twisting words,

I'm beginning to wonder why this hurts.



Everyday it's the same thing for us,

So why do comments and text cause such a fuss?



If he was standing here do I shout at him,

But he didn't do anything, no kind of sin.



So what if she's asian, so what if he's black,

So what if you're white, I ain't covering your back.



I'm beginning to wonder if we're different at all,

They ain't got three legs, four eyes or a tail.



It's the attitude I don't like, I'm only fourteen,

I hope my kids will learn from what I've seen
