You've Got It Bad

Folder:
Break Up/Rejection

In your night clothes, wrapped up on the sofa,

You hold the phone in your hand, dialling his number.

Photos are on the table, home videos are playing,

Your thoughts about him are so heavy, your just staring.

No nights out with friends, just stuck in the house, no fun,

You just keep battling your feelings, but your hearts won.

Memories from your head are feeding your soul,

But it still doesn't matter, he's left a painful hole.

Girl, you've got it bad, it's unbearable to look at this,

I know it's not the gifts, money... It's him that you miss.

You want him there, to kiss you and touch you,

Hating the thought him caring for others, not you.

Tears are silently falling down your cheeks, please stop,

It's hard to understand now, but you'll come out on top.

Turn off the tv, put the tissues in the bin,

Please go to bed and dream of all but him.

Please follow my lead, I've been here before,

I've done everything, memorising what I saw.

Dry the tears, girl, I'm here for you alone,

Now theres new places for your heart to roam.

Author's Notes/Comments:

the aftermath of a lost love often makes us wish to crawl away and hide. But it is the courage to go one and try once more that makes us what we are.
