A Letter to God

Dear God

Nothing is right

I'm locked in this closet

Mommy and Daddy are

Having another fight

Dear God

Is this punishment?

Have I done something wrong?

I wish I knew the answers

I've wondered for so long

Dear God

Please talk to me

I really don't know what to do

My Nana always told me

That I should turn to you

Dear God

Where are you?

I need your guidance, Lord

I'm always praying and talking to you

When I'm entertained or bored

Dear God

Please make the yelling stop

I don't think I can take any more

Please send me an angel

To help me win my emotional war

Dear God

Where are you?

I need you a lot right now

My mom just called my dad something bad

And He just called her a cow

Dear God

I thought you could help me

When times got rough

But I guess the tears of a dying girl

Just weren't enough

Author's Notes/Comments:

kind of like what it was like one day when i was a little girl

Hey. I really like this poem. It has a lot of feeling in it that I can relate to....it reminds me just of my childhood. Good job
