* "I look, but I cannot see..."

I look

but I cannot see what you see

for these plants that

creep up through the cracks

reach out to the sun

with their heads held high

and their leaves dancing in the wind

they speak to me not of abandonment

but of the tenacity of life.

this place speaks to me not of sadness

but of a wild, stubborn joy

where plants can be free to grow unhindered

and where stones can feel free to leap from their place

It is a place where Life can feel free to dance,

unconcerned by the changes society thinks it can impose.
