The Lord and America

The eyes of the lord look down at me

I can see the white and endless shine

as I stare beyond an endless sea

that draws a never ending line.

The lord and I sat together thinking, praying

All the longer he said to me,

"What is thy humble sacred saying?"

And there I sat, my mind no longer free.

"When I go, and go I will,"

"I want to have an equal opporitunity."

"These things you see, that house, this mill,"

"Will be burned, ashes into the sea."

I thought my thoughts, he said he could save

the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I don't have much to say about this one, it is about conversing with the lord about what will become of America.

I wonder if the Red Indians had another name for their own land, the native country which has been renamed America now a home to the brave, to the cream of world society ..
