Crisp
Crisp speech tidal wave of vowels and consonants
Contrained in her throat.
Not sure I made myself clear,
Not sure I empathized
The singular purpose
Of my intentions,
But, no,
It's not in my best interest,
So, I decline.
She was holding the door
And it was time for him
To leave.
A sigh and a tip of the proverbial hat
And he
Was
Gone.
Well, that was easy, she thought.
Pouring a glass of wine,
Sitting down to think it through,
Yea, quite easy,
Until he drove his truck through her front door.
That's how it started.
That's how it ended.
Son to Son to Son
Down the line
Think of the fact.
A son begets a son,
A daughter begets a daughter,
Long lines of women,
Long lines of men,
To bring us here
Together.

You still got it, stellar
You still got it, stellar Poet! I particularly enjoyed your blazing wit and the hard hitting twist in the first poem. Top tier work!
