You froze at the words of my romantic embrace,

Because you didn't understand what I meant.

"You seem so happy" For once she isn't wrong,

The minutes have vanished to the hourglass of vanity,

They've gone past before my eyes.

But you whisked me away, in your arms and smiled,

As we drowned at my expense.

I'm glad we made the most of today.
