Level Up
I sit here in my new home,
Far away from what is familiar
Yet so close to what I once knew.
I traveled far in my adventure,
Fought many monsters on the way.
There were times I didn't think I was strong enough
Times I thought I would surely fall
But my sword and shield held together
No matter what enemy I faced.
My sword, forged by God, kept the foes at bay.
While my shield, my Savior, kept me safe all day.
And as I traveled along that road
Searching for the end of my quest.
Never once giving up or trying to seek rest.
Now I sit, in the sun, looking out at the road
Wondering what the next step is
And what the next quest will bring.
For you see, I have leveled up.
As a character I have grown.
So it's time to learn my new skills,
And figure out where I go from here.
