Shattered

The diamond

that now caresses

someone else’s hand

Is just a left over remnant

of a shattered plan...of us

Coming up I fear

‘twas to be our wedding day

will soon be a year

that I slowly walked away

Know I will spend that date

in quiet solitude

locked in a room

of gloom

my friend

Jack Black and I will celebrate

an end...to aborted beginnings

I’ll lift the veil

on shattered passion

kiss some pills to ease the pain

say the vows

and forever nows

divorce crazy,..to marry insane

Time will tell

of one that fell

as this day too

will pass to past

to you I will toast

may life give you the most

and love for yourself ...forever last

Beautiful. Good job there.
