Hide In My Heart

Placed upon pedestals so high in the sky

Reaching out for you from the cloud

But you weren’t there…I was so misguided

The changing of seasons did little to shake this pain

How pale is the sky, that has impaled itself upon me

One cannot start again, when the past seems to never finish

And the knowing, that you see the same stars and moon as me

Allows little refrain, for I still see the tracks in the snow

As I walk alone, I’ve prayed to God for peace

Music memorizes to endure you to me

Even when the song brings change

The hour keeps you there, in my heart…still the same

So tonight, lay down beside me once again

Through the stars and lyric, hide again in my heart

For only God knows, when I should have sung…I run
