Nothing burns like the cold

Nothing burns like the cold
When it surrounds you
Almost suffocates you in its uncaring hands
As it pricks your skin
And leaves permanent blisters
That paint your skin in foreign colours
Your youthful glow vanishes
In the prescence of rustling leaves
As you stand bare as a lonely tree
Your spirit has been crashed
Laid beneath an unstable structure
As the wind whispers loudly in the night
It all falls down
And a ruin is created by your happy memories
You are once again left alone in the cold

Brrrr

Love it, it is beautiful! Makes me feel grateful for the warmth of the fire I am sitting near as it freezes outdoors. Love your profile pic.
