Thought this road would be golden

But I just found out it doesn’t go anywhere

Not worth what I thought was there

I suppose it was just a dream that stood there

With a blank stare, may be I won’t go anywhere



This road is too confusing

Love seems to want to refuse me

I don’t know where this winding road goes

But I can’t lose sight of it all

I can’t give up I have to stand tall



Stand tall jump up get ready to go

Get ready to follow the golden road

Get ready to follow these undiscovered dreams

Let’s get ready to see what is inside our dreams

Lets jump up and get ready to go



Tears begin to reappear

Why can’t they just disappear?

But I know this all builds character

So I try not to lose sight of this winding road

I concentrate on where I should go

Trying to follow this golden road

Is confusing my mind

But there will be healing soon in time
