My ode to authority

Authority equals knowing something
Without doubt; truly means
Doesn’t have to come from books
Tragic waste of many trees

Living others dream worlds sat in
Some made up world or other
I’m talking about a world of fiction
Such a waste from cover to cover

Truths are well hidden anyway
Some authors had lives threatened
We all have our own truths to say
Either folklore, dreamed or Akashic record

We get our truth in many ways
Not necessarily from publishers
Is the message for family: Humanity?
Ultimately, it’s if you care
