each day I awake an find myself alone
as if everything has stopped
time has come to a stand still
today is the same as yesterday
an yesterday was like the day before
each day seems like a year
each year a life time

lost in the darkness with no sense of direction
inside I'm cold an empty
loneliness it consumes me holding me down
with no escape

without giving in to death

but I march on as only a soldier will do
l

eaving the old life stranded behind
march forth I was told
you can never go back
only forward
you can't take it with you
but it can be taken an used

there's nothing more nothing less
just life, then there's death

you can see yourself as you are
for better or worse
but you can never see yourself as you're seen by them
I may look fine as I flash a smile
But on the inside I'm full of regret an pain

she was just a girl
then the woman of my dreams
the one worth dying for

then just a memory I can't forget

in a life time there's more than enough time
to learn to hate yourself
after they have given up on loving you
an you've never given up on loving them
try as you might
no matter what you do you can't keep the world out
for I have tried

I go on living an try my best to forget
but it's always there like a dirty needle in your vein
a drug you just cannot shake
why could she not love me as I loved her

I'll never know or understand

but I'm only human

I have to ask

people after all they need their reasons 

that life can't offer.

a eagle doesn't ever have to think

how or why gravity lets it loose of it to fly
neither did I know why I loved

why the oceans move with the tide
I only felt as if I should

should the secret ever come out

they'll find I still do

the sun comes up

the sun go's down
and I march on
