From Darker Times I've made you laugh with the jokes I tell
I've made you cry with the stories I've told
I've made you think about things
even if we don't agree
I've broke your heart with My poetry
but you look at Me differently
cause you sense the beast within Me
like a shakespearean tragedy
I'm forever damned
for you say beware of the beast that mars the character
of a man it can destroy mind, heart and soul
keep the beast in shackles is your will
but I say to you the beast is not all bad
he was there when I was to scared to move
he was there when someone was needed to fight evil with evil
he was there when no one else was
I'll be damned if I deny him when he needs Me most
like all shakespeare’s tragic heroes
me an the beast are fundamentally flawed
we still believe in good an bad
true love never dies
eye for a eye
tooth for a tooth
ashes to ashes dust to dust
I'll love you till I die
It is this weakness that will lead to our demise
So laugh at my jokes
cry with the stories I've told
think about things
even if we don't agree
let your heart break over My poetry
look at Me differently
But leave the beast be !
