An infinite kiss

A final farewell

As tears begin in our eyes

My body betrays me

As I fall

Rather than step

Into my car

I hesitate

I cannot start

My heart is stopped

My brain continues

As I slowly now depart

I bite my lip

Watching you leave

Knowing I'll see you soon

I read the letters

It cannot be true

But right beside me

It is you

From a window

All I can hear

Are the three words

"I love you"
