Short Verse #3

"I dared to dream a little dream, yet was condemned for being obscene.
I was the freak in their cage, whiped and beaten to temper my rage
and grew to a man in the belief that I was the beast.
I saw my shadow from across the way, caught a glimpse by this new day"

Author's Notes/Comments:

I have been suffering from a really bad case of writers block here lately so seems like the only thing I can get out are short verses or quotes..

The only cure for writer's

The only cure for writer's block is to keep writing. When I'm blocked, nothing I write looks good at the time, but I'll come back to the notebook months later and often see the things I've written in a different light. Perhaps the poem didn't work, but the idea, on several lines were good and serve as a springboard after the block passes. Keep on writing!

haha yes thank you! :) I myself do that as well, infact that is where the birth of my book "Lost Treasure's collection" came from, were scraps of literature I tossed..

"I am my own sort of strange, a supernova of madness and brillance. Forced to share the same space and time. Sane enough to not be seen, yet not crazy enough to be heard." -- Matthew Wayne
