I close my eyes and drift away

there are no more worries here today

I find a place where I can be

all that's ever been asked of me



I feel my soul begin to rise

never before have I felt so alive

I open the door to real compassion

and begin to see love's reaction

I'm drifting away to it

open my eyes and I might lose it)



I let my emotions take control

and finally let my dreams be told

I can forget all that I have done

and focus on what I can become



I know that this can't last

as I hold my breathe so time won't pass

I take only what I can give,

open my eyes and start to live
