Suffocating Statues

Leaves drift in the wind

Yet things stay the same

And slowly behind songs of the wind and sparrows, I suffocate

Pondering an eternity that I only sit and watch

Slowly time and rain wear me down and I rot away within

Immortality a joke, because life is about being one big immorality.

Until we do something,

Until we take the step to be more

Until we leave a reason to be remembered

We are only suffocating statues

Slowly meeting our demise, no longer remembered for forgotten glories,

And already forgotten for what we never did.
