Thought upon thought fills my mind
Like clouds across the night sky
The sun has set on another day.
some of what has happened
and what's to be,
still remains a mystery
Nervously awaiting fate
not knowing what it brings
makes me ponder the memories of yesterdays
that wonderful smile,
that star twinkle in your eye
Your star gazing beautiful
I can't help, but smile every time you cross my mind
you might not see it,
when you look in the mirror day to day, but
I see it every moment of everyday
it goes beyond appearance and what is skin deep
deep into your heart and soul it does reach
