Sitting here; aimlessly writing

About  my thoughts of you

Nothing in particular

It's just something to do

While you're not with me

You're somewhere else tonight

I'll be sleeping lonely again

And no, I'm not alright

I'm feeling a little selfish

Because i want you all to me

But i know because you have other people

That'll never be

I just want to lay there

And whisper in your ear

And feel you holding on to me

Satisfied that you're here

I want to kiss your mouth so softly

And tell you what you're worth

Recite you poetic lines like

You're my heaven and my earth

I want to play you slow, soft music

Light candles by the bed

Rub your back and repeat

Everything i just said

I wish right now you were with me

So i could tell you rather than write

But you're with someone else right now

You won't be coming home again tonight

But I'm sure I'll see you tomorrow

And my feelings won't change by then

And I'm sure you'll be with me the next day

And i can do it all again

Just know that I'm thinking of you

Lying awake in our cold room

I guess I'll have to be patient

And i know you'll be back soon
