So. Did you lose my number on accident?

Or did you wash it with your jeans?

Was your phone cut off because your bill wasn’t paid?

Is that what that tone in your voice means?

Am I bothering you? Getting on your nerves?

Should I just stay away?

I was calling just to check on you

Because you didn’t call today

If you said you’d call and word is bond

Then why didn’t you call?

I don’t wanna keep you from anything

I just thought I’d ask- that’s all

But can you tell me please why you lied to me?

What is it that I did?

Did I come at you sideways or something?

Is it because I have a kid?

I thought that we were vibin cool

We talked almost all night

We even shared some intimate moments

And you did it all just right

Maybe we should have waited

But I felt real good about you

I thought that we were better than that

I believed everything you said was true

It’s ok- I understand

I think I’ll be all right
