Believing in a Hopeless Wish

Folder:
Religion

I hate to love you

And ignore your worth

I hate to judge you

And to laugh and curse

But I don’t have it in me

To believe in you.

The bible, your words

The miracles or your works.

When I’m confronted

On a religious matter

I’d rather ignore it

And not bring you up.

It’s a personal opinion

On the way we’re brought up.

It’s a matter of one’s beliefs

To believe in you or not.

Some people rejoice

And sing your name.

They believe you’re the reason

As to how and who they have became.

Maybe they are right

And my soul will soon pay

How can I go to Hell

When I do not believe?

How can I live by your words

When I cannot see?

Neither Heaven or Hell

Exists in my world.

I’m just trying to live my life

The best way I know how.

The chapters of my life may not be so great

But it’s something others can

Believe and relate to in their own walk of life

Believing in you

Is like a fairytale story

With a bittersweet twist-

An ending with a hopeless wish.
