Winter Beauty

Folder:
Seasonal Poetry

Small flakes beginning to dance on the breeze,
A winter wonderland will soon be born.
Because now everything begins to freeze,
A beautiful coat of white will be worn.

Small crystals of ice cover windowpanes,
While icicles are hanging from the eaves.
Snowdrifts will cover whatever remains,
True serenity is what it achieves.

But sometimes weather gets to be extreme,
When blizzards bury us in heavy snow.
Becoming nightmarish instead of dream,
Through the window glass we can see it blow.

Each season has its own unique appeal,
The beauty of winter can be unreal.
