When I hold your hand, night isn't so long
a moment with you;
eyes wide open like stars in ebony
sighing over the face of the moon
there's a deep peace with you.
Contented and waking in your arms,
my morning is velvet rose,
another moment of love
on the edge of flesh and promise
blooming like a thousand dawns
bringing a fresh song to my day
blue butterflies
flutter kissed cheek
a moment of love upon love
my eyes rain at the beauty of you
and my heart hums a new song
buried deep gentleness of wings

Im impressed
Okay... Now I'm impressed, I read 2 poems and found two styles of writing. Besides... I enjoyed this poem as well. It caught my attention as the title is similar to one I wrote titled "Butterfly Shadows".
