MICKEY MOUSE

Folder:
ABSTRACT POEMS

         I know you.

    You, standing right there.

A few feet off the ground.

A face I've seen, so many, many, times before.

   A face I can't ignore.

A face that says nothing, but says so much.

So many lives have been touched.

All over the world, the great stories told.

   Everybody knows who it is.

   See, it amazes me.

A character I've seen in TV, movies, in books.

  I take a look.

I can picture his voice in my head.

This guy in black, yellow, red.

  An icon see,

   of Walt Disney World,

   of Walt Disney, see,

I've seen him my whole life.

An image as sharp as a knife.

Not many cartoon charachters will ever claim the fame as Mickey Mouse. I think almost every child in the years past grew up watchin some sort of Mickey.
