MY SATURDAY

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

                  I wanted to play.

Today, at home was where I wanted to stay.

Away was not where I wanted to roam.

Nowhere did I want to stray.

                  My Saturday.

I wanted to watch sports games.

                Basketball, hockey, football.

You know, it was not just college, but the pros too.

            Yes, it is true.

                  My Saturday.

I thought I was going to go insane.

My wife wanted to go to the mall.

She thought we would have a ball.

I felt like I was going to fall.

                  My Saturday.

My favorite teams, I love to cheer.

              I do have a fear.

I am not going to do that today.

I am going out with my dear.

              She wants to play.

                   My Saturday.

            We took the subway train.

My wife's driving me insane.  She's really being a pain.

Around the city, we do run.  It is not any fun.

It does not matter if it is sun or rain.

            It is really a pain.

         My Saturday.

It's true, on Saturdays, this is what we always true.

    It is not new.

    It makes me blue.

I wish we could do something new.

                  Oh, my Saturday.

                Yeah, my Saturday.
