     Rainy day soldiers.



  You braved the rain.

  You braved conditions like a hurricaine.

  You braved being pinned by the wind.

  You braved the storm which was not warm.



  You walked down the lanes and streets main.  

  Some said you were insane.

  Some asked why.  Some cried.

  You had a great wit.

  It, you made.  

  Puddles so deep, in them, you could wade.

  You knew it was a long time before this would fade.

  You did not muddle.

  You have pride and a smile that is wide.

    

     Rainy day soldiers.



     You believe in no pain, no gain.

     You believe the rewards of life don't come without work.

     You believe the earlier children learn that,

     the better.

     A day far from the norm.

     A day from from warm.

     All the forces from the sky.

     You did not ask why.

     You knew it would not be dry.

     Yes, the weather was a shocking sight.

     It gave you quite a fright.

     A freshman in a dorm on the first night.

     Some, it gave a delight.

     Nature has quite a might.
