    FOREVER LOVE

   The day they met, it was love at first sight.

   A meeting.  A greeting.

   A chance.  A dance so slow.

   Then, a place to go.  To walk.  To talk.

   Ice cream.  A sweet dream.





      It's been a great ride.  

      She still loves him.  He still loves her too.

    Where they have been.  

   All the places.  All the spaces.

   All the stages.  All the ages.

   As sure as the sky is blue.

    Time goes by.

   Rain falls from the sky.

    A tear falls from their eyes.

    The thing they both, the trees go.

  River flows.

  

    Now, they sit in a home.

   They sit in chairs.  At each other, they stare.

   They, about each other, do still care.

   Sometimes, see, they watch tv.





   Now, their love enshrined on a stone.

  On a small hill, not far from a small brook.  A brook nice to look.

  Overlooking, the heavenly king on his throne.

  They know over a lifetime, their love grown.
