ABSTRACT POEMS

I walked in the door.  A silence I could not ignore.

A silence louder than a roar.

A silence screaming.  I thought I was dreaming.

The room did hush, touch, much.

I was walking.  Nobody was talking.

Turning was everybody's head.  But, my face did not get red.

Everybody looked.  Pointed with their hands.  I did understand.
